Melbourne is one of the funkiest cities in Australia. From its cool architecture to its robust art scene with hip cafés and music, Melbourne is often considered the cultural capital of Australia. Its narrow lanes, covered in world-class street art, hide beautiful cafés and beer gardens. There’s so much to see and do in this place that today, We want to share with you some of the favorite things about Melbourne:

Take a street art tour

Hands down the highlight of a visit to this city, you’ll love the street art tour run by graffiti artists from Blender Studies. It’s pricey at $69 AUD, but the cost of the tour helps support local artists and includes drinks and cheese at the end.  We can’t recommend this tour enough.

Uluru

If sightseeing and mesmerising sunsets are your cup of tea, Uluru will guarantee good time. It’s maybe better known by the name “Ayers Rock“. This beautiful rock is considered sacred to the aboriginal people in this area. Deep colors of red, orange and yellow sunsets will take your breath away, as all of the surronding rocks and hills turn the same spectacular color.

Wander Queen Victoria Market

This outdoor market is a mix of food sellers and knick-knack vendors — think flea market meets food market. During the week, the food hall is the main draw, but the weekend offerings are bigger, as sellers fill up the outdoor vending space. When you’re in the food hall, be sure to get some free wine samples from Swords Wines; the staff is friendly and the wine is cheap.

Enjoy the cafés

The café culture in this city is part of its soul. Everyone here loves to have coffee or tea and a snack while doing some work or chatting in some arty café. Don’t miss doing this either. You can take the café tour with Melbourne Coffee Tours or Café Culture Walk to learn more about why Melbournians love their cafés so much and then spend an afternoon with a good book at your new favorite spot.

The twelve Apostles at Great Ocean Road – Breathtaking cliff views

12 Apostles are gigantic limestone cliffs formed due to constant wind erosion of the mainland. These breathtaking rock structures are snuggled off the Southern Ocean, adjacent to the Port Campbell National Park. This is certainly one the most scenic places to visit in Melbourne.

Don’t miss: The Most photogenic sight of the 12 apostles during sunrise and sunset!

Burleigh Heads

If you love relaxing to beutiful sights, this beautiful beach is the place for you. This is a suburb area found in the city of Gold Coast. Also, if you enjoy surfing (or just watching surfers), Burleigh Heads s very popular with surfers.
“On Sundays the town centre is filled with buskers, and local musicians, along with fire-twirlers to keep the kids amused.
In the high street you will find an assortment of delis, cafes, and interesting shops, so it is worth spending a full day here and enjoying the atmosphere.”
