Queen Elizabeth Responds to Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s Oprah Interview
Buckingham Palace has responded to Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s interview on the Oprah show. On Tuesday, the Palace released a statement on behalf of Queen Elisabeth, saying “the whole family is saddened to learn the full extent of how challenging the last few years have been for Harry and Meghan”. During Meghan and Harry’s interview, which aired to more than 17 million viewers in the US on Sunday, and more than 11 million viewers in the Uk on Monday, Meghan claimed that she was being constantly silenced by the institution. She also revealed that she was denied help when she was suffering from a mental health crisis. Also, they said that there were concerns and conversations from an unnamed member of the royal family about how dark Archies skin might be when he was born.
On Monday, Oprah stated on CVS this morning that Harry clarified that those conversations did not involve his grandparents – Queen Elizabeth or Prince Phillip.
