What would society look like without our precious phones
Phones have become part of our everyday life. We use them at home, when we’re out with friends, at work or in school, on the toilet, while eating, before falling asleep, we grab them the first thing in the morning… Almost like it’s some kind of obsession. We couldn’t imagine our lives without them, they make it easier and more fun.
But can you imagine if they were never invented or if they simply vanish from the face of Earth? Or if they just disappear right there, in front of you, just like that, what would you do, how would you feel like?
Eric Pickersgill, a US photographer has taken some pictures of people randomly holding their phones and then edited the phones out (or just removed them before taking the picture). The series of these photos is called “Removed” and, as he said, they’re supposed to show to the society how weird actually is that pose. It has a goal to show how sad and wrong does it look like to just stare at nothing when surrounded with beautiful moments, people, nature…
